No matter where - we go there. SAR volunteers are deployed for Search and Rescue missions of all types and locations, requiring several different teams for each. Jackson County SAR is a U.S. leader in operations with specialty teams to support any type of mission:

  • Ropes

  • Equestrian

  • Dive

  • Drone

  • Medical

  • Communications

  • K9

  • ATV

  • Snowcat

  • Technical Support

Aside from saving people's lives and reuniting families, SAR teams add value on the bottom line. For example, over a three year period, JCSAR volunteers participated in 312 missions, logging over 56,089.75 volunteer "search mission" hours.  Based on the national average valuation of volunteer time ($20.85), Jackson County saved over $1,169,471.29 in wages, approximately $390,000 per year.
